Before you start, install the app from the App Store. It's called BrightArrow Mobile.

Here is the Apple App store link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/brightarrow-mobile-2-1/id1471415408

It looks like this:

This also works on an iPad.

If you have an Android device, get the app from wherever you get apps; the rest of the steps are the same.

1. Your username for the mobile app is your Crossroads email address; if you need the password, email helpdesk@crossroadsacademy.org or contact one of the authorized users (see the overview page for a list of authorized users.)

Recommended: The first time you open the app, before you tap Login, slide the slider to "Login Automatically" for subsequent use:

2. There's only one folder, tap that:

3. Toggle the slider for "Snow Day Today" to ON, then tap the right arrow in the upper right corner:

4. It will verify your selection. Normally, it would say "190 of 190" (or however many total people are normally in the list), tap Send to selection contacts:

5. Toggle the slider ON for Create New Message. Then toggle the sliders ON for Email Message, and for Text (SMS or Push), and for Voice Message, and for Recorded Voice (unless you wish to use the text-to-speech, robot voice):

6. Enter an email message, and tap the right-hand arrow when you're ready to proceed:

7. By default, it copies the email message to use as the SMS text message. Edit it if you like, and tap the right-hand arrow when you're ready to proceed:

8. Tap the center recording symbol to begin recording, and say your message. Tap stop when finished. You can preview it with the play button; if you want to make a different recording, tap the trash icon and do a new one. When you're satisfied, tap the paper airplane symbol in the upper left:

9. On the final screen, tap Send Now:

Ignore the translation part, we don't have multiple languages enabled in our district.
